Getting Crafty

I grew up with two artistically talented brothers. They can draw and paint and take great photos, while I on the other hand produce art not quite worthy for display on the refrigerator. But, I do love creating artwork as a way to unwind (I just need a little guidance). I picked up a doodle book a few years back and last Christmas D gave me a couple of fun coloring books. I have found that doodling and coloring are great ways to de-stress. If you’ve never tried it, give it a shot, you just might discover a new hobby.

Books

Craft-a-Doodle: 75 Creative Exercises from 18 Artists – A step-by-step guide to creating fun doodles.

Secret Garden: An Inky Treasure Hunt and Coloring Book – Beautiful, ornate illustrations of all things found in the garden.

Color At Home: A Young House Love Coloring Book – A fun way to explore color and home decor.

A Cozy Coloring Cookbook: 40 Simple Recipes to Cook, Eat & Color – This one is on my wish list. I love the idea of a coloring book with recipes.

Supplies

100-Sheet Strathmore Sketch Paper Pad – I find the 5.5 by 8.5-Inch a good size for doodling.

Sakura 30062 6-Piece Pigma Micron Ink Pen Set, Black – Great pens for drawing that come in a variety of sizes.

Prismacolor Premier Colored Pencils, Soft Core, 48-Count – Perfect for those coloring books.
